I’m a leader amongst leaders. I’m an operational planner with an eye on the long view and innovation. Forward-thinking has been the hallmark of my career. I’m a tested manager who knows the difference between real crises and artificial ones.As a Naval Officer, I was constantly challenged to achieve the impossible…and succeeded. From Humanitarian Assistance missions in the Philippines and multi-national exercises in Australia to day-to-day work, I have worked hard to bring together people from all walks of life to achieve our mutual goals. My experiences have shown me how to build teams that work. I don’t believe there’s a one-size fits all solution to leadership, but these tenets have helped me become a successful leader:- I’m not afraid to make a decision, nor am I afraid to admit when it was the wrong one.- I believe details matter.- I don’t believe in micro-management…unless it’s necessary.- I believe in being ten minutes early.- I don’t believe in reinventing the wheel but I thinking re-making it out of rubber was a pretty good idea.- I believe in listening twice as much as speaking.The “Bottom Line” is what matters to me but trampling those who you work with, will guarantee that you’ll only get there once.
