About Daniel Vasconcelos
For as long as I can remember I knew I was not gonna be a soccer player (I'm terrible at it) but I also knew that I loved creating things. It could be as simple as biometric access or even music composition. That was why I engaged in technical courses on Industrial Mechanics and Automation. After 6 years in the industry working with Mechanics and Automation, I realized that it was time for me to add the power of Computer Science to my utility belt. Now with little more than six years of software and embedded development, I feel that I have found the perfect balance between self-realization and opportunities to use my abilities to solve relevant challenges.I have the opportunity to apply my abilities of development and creativity at several companies, where I participate in creating and maintaining projects that have regional and national impact. When I'm not working I often spend some quality time with my family, play my favorite instruments (piano, sax, and guitar), learn about new technologies, trends, etc, and keep up with my favorite shows, of course.I like meeting new people, new cultures, and places. When I lived in Canada for a few months I had just that in addition to allowing me to do part of my undergrad program at Western University. Back in Brazil, a way of helping my community and meeting new people is by volunteering to teach programming to unprivileged children
