About Dan Cates

I grew up working for a family business and fell in love with the ideas of small teams, close relationships, and passionate, hard work. But I also grew up seeing family members and friends work themselves to the bone because they didn't build adequate systems to automate their efforts and free up their time! As a consequence, some of the dearest business owners I have known were constantly stressed, sacrificing family time, and had net losses on their income statements to show for it!Since then I have learned that building systems that facilitate outsourcing quality work from the owner (whether through payroll employees or contractors) are the only real way to profitably multiply effort, reduce stress, and have businesses that work for us rather than us working for them!
