Here, I manage and support the operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation and repairs for 500m of particle accelerator vacuum systems and other related equipment. I oversee and direct multiple technicians on their personal performance, facility operations/maintenance, upgrades and the installation of accelerator vacuum systems.• Designed detailed mechanical and vacuum plans to support material science research.• Executed comprehensive cost/schedule estimates for the labor and material resources essential for new projects. • Optimized an efficient budget for transitioning from installation to operation of vacuum systems.• Succeeded in executing the R&D, design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of new vacuum projects.• Manage the semiconductor grade cleanroom and infrastructure, as well as the vacuum cleaning and repair for all accelerator vacuum systems.• Create and review chemical process systems to expand manufacturing of accelerator components.• Train, mentor and develop technicians on personal development, product lifecycle and company policies and procedures.

In this position, I directed the installation of 47 ($5MM) components into a world class particle accelerator. I coordinated tasks and work plans for multiple technicians to efficiently install rad-hard accelerator components. Additionally, I directly managed two technicians on their performance and personal development. I collected and analyzed data to process variable of operational equipment, in addition to managing nonconformance’s and reworks to reduce downtime.• Coordinated and worked cross functionally with other teams and departments on the installation, integration and safety plans for numerous complex systems. Cross-collaborated with various teams and departments on developing efficient ‘best practices’ to ensure the compatibility with different subsystems.• Succeeded in commissioning particle accelerator segments, which validated the innovative, systematic, and fresh outlook on the novel designs and procedures.• Wrote functional requirements for control systems to automate processes and increase safety procedures.• Served on a committee that oversees work on project critical components and systems to protect facility integrity and ensure proper employee training.• Presented guidelines to upgrade a chemical processing facility that would increase the reliability and safety of human/environmental hazards.

I managed and developed the production assembly of 11 ($2MM) components and 88 smaller cavities, utilizing lean manufacturing production methods and 5S. I led maintenance activities for cleanrooms and deionized water systems to preserve quality standards for high performance radio frequency cavity processing and assembly. Additional, I supervised two undergraduate students on assembly, procedures, strict cleanliness requirements and contamination protocols.• Oversaw the procurement and requisitions for yearly contract services and consumables.• Devised and implemented innovative protocols for cleanroom processes.• Spearheaded the development of a new clean room infrastructure that previously contained 200sf and executed it to 4000sf.• Utilized expert training in chemical processing and chemical hazard response from hydrofluoric and nitric acids.• Served on the hiring committee to employ technicians throughout the department.
