Responsible for the management of all aspects of public communication and marketing for America's leading maritime history museum. Plan and execute brand messaging strategy across all channels: public relations, social media, website, print collateral, and paid media. Lead spokesperson for the museum and public representative at community and government events. Create, edit, and publish content for a biannual magazine, website, social media, and external outlets. Advise senior management during crisis communications situations. Manage department budget and external vendors.Develop and manage all media strategies for major museum initiatives. Successful projects include: promotion of the 38th Voyage of the whaleship Charles W. Morgan; construction and opening of the $15 million Thompson Exhibition Building; and execution of the museum’s 2018 rebranding to raise national profile and engage new, diverse audiences.Co-authored two award-winning books: "The Charles W. Morgan: A Picture History of an American Icon" (2014) and "Mystic Seaport Museum Guidebook" (2018).
