The Good Box, a social enterprise thats more than just about handing out beautiful gifts. It’s about facilitating positive conversations and helping to restore dignity to those who are doing it tough. When I first learned about the amazing work they did through my time with Orange Sky it really lit a spark and I am very fortunate to be able to now spearhead their warehouse operations and lead our 61 strong team of amazing volunteers. Throughout the back end of 2020 I've overseen a doubling of our weekly volunteer opportunities and scaled our operations by over 300% in average weekly numbers of boxes packed and distributed to our charity partners all across Australia. We were able to successfully triple output while only doubling operation time through high volume efficiencies and process leadership skills I learned leading teams in the high volume world of Domino's Pizza. Having said that we learnt a lot in 2020 and through review of those learnings we're looking to implement even better strategic and operational plans and I can't wait to see what goals we kick in 2021 and beyond.

2020 was a year where I enjoyed engaging with a wide spectrum of NGO organisations who have volunteer led operations. Sharing our collective Orange Sky volunteer based experiences and leveraging my sales and management skills to help small-medium sized NGO organisations adopt our volunteer management tech platform Volaby, helping them streamline and scale their operations in 2020 and beyond and more importantly redirect their efforts away from manual admin processes and refocusing on their amazing core missions. 2020 was a challenging year where business couldn't be done the way it always had been and I really enjoyed the challenges of creating B2B relationships virtually and am proud to have been able to spearhead our entry into the NZ market in mid 2020, successfully implementing our platform into NGO organisations from religious based charities, food rescue organisations, those providing assistance and support for those who identify LGBTQI in New Zealand and city missions. Finishing this role up at the end of 2020 has been bitter sweet, I am going to miss the amazing organisations that I connected with and the amazing people I worked alongside at Orange Sky but the time has come to move on to giving my new role all the love and focus it deserves.

Joining E Property Rentals as a self-employed contractor in 2012, I worked autonomously to find and secure new clients along with managing their investments and expectations on a day to day basis to ultimately quadruple my portfolio of clients before transitioning into a partner role within the company in 2016 and aligning the company structure with a more traditional staff based agency. The following years saw continued growth of E Property Rentals, employing a further three full time staff members in addition to the working partners and a further doubling of the business size before selling the company in mid-2019 with 223 clients and approximately $100M+ of residential investment under direct management.

Post redundancy and closure of my previous employer Prorentals.com.au, utilising my industry contacts I commenced a sales based position at RE/MAX Toowong under a contractor basis. Post 2011 major flood in Brisbane the RE/MAX Property Management team were stretched and sought my expertise and assistance in what was a trying time for the industry and city as a whole and I transitioned my focus back to Property Management. I find Property Management far more rewarding and challenging than the sales based role and redirected my focus to executive and high value investment properties throughout the Inner Western suburbs of Brisbane and enjoyed the challenge and added demands that working with high net worth clients added to my role.

Prorentals.com.au is where my career in Real Estate began and I was fortunate to be surrounded by some amazing professionals who, to this day continue to be mentors of mine. During my time in Prorentals.com.au I was directly responsible for the management of 158 clients residential investments across Brisbane and personally secured 42 new clients for the company during my time despite client growth not being my primary job role within the company. In 2008 the business partners of Prorentals.com.au decided to pursue other career opportunities and the business was closed down and staff, myself included made redundant.

Starting as a casual delivery driver in 2004, I quickly progressed into an assistant management role, and then in 2005 at the age of 21 I earned the full-time store manager role of the Taringa store, which was at the time the highest turnover Domino's Pizza store in Australia. I had 3 assistant managers and 45+ staff under my management during this time. In 2007 I transferred to Perth, initially working for short periods in various stores that were suffering from operational issues with my focus to get direct exposure to the store culture and then train existing staff and iron out any operational issues before moving onto the next location. After 12 months I launched the Domino's Warwick store from its opening and working in a store management role I focused on sales growth and hiring a strong team of staff and management before moving into a multi-store role overseeing the management and operational running of two franchise stores in Perth before moving back to Brisbane in 2008 for family reasons.
