Completed my Honours thesis on an R&D project under an NDA. I completed a literature review, then planned and conducted experiments to yield novel results. I attained a High Distinction mark on my final report and the overall course.

My work was evenly split between plant operations, and process improvements and optimisations. Considering optimisations and improvements, I completed projects on a range of units, including biological reactors, dual media filters, and blowers. I contributed to trials on a new dewatering polymer, modifications to inlet channel band screens, and improving tertiary clarifier dosing. I assisted senior safety analysts in their review of Safety Cases under WHS Regulation 2017, and I shadowed inspectors on site visits as they audited major hazard facilities and their Safety Management Systems. I facilitated the May MHF Industry Forum and presented on Near miss incident management to an audience of more than 60. I also produced educational videos for new Inspectors on topics like explosives and management of change.

I taught pupils aged 9-12 in Maths, English, Writing, and Thinking Skills (previously General Ability). I had to engage and manage classes of up to 40 children, explaining content in multiple ways to cater to all learners. I focused on building a positive learning environment so that all students were comfortable and unafraid to ask questions. I also constructed problems for test papers.

I developed an Access Database to manage and display Quality Control test results, becoming competent with VBA code. I then pulled the data into Power BI to create dynamic control charts. I also built SharePoint flows to automate business processes.

I assisted with the day-to-day quality tests and updated the documentation of the methods. A highlight was my research and procurement of a new apparatus to determine microbial presence that cut testing time down from 48 hours to 8 hours.

Acted as the sole manager while on shift, handling all customer interactions, bookings, sales, and upkeep of facilities.
