My working career started at 18 years old, diagnosing and repairing Apple Computers and Laptops before a brief stint repairing Photocopiers and PC's. I was then offered an opportunity at the age of 21 to become a sales cadet at Carmichael Ford. Learning the values of customer service, negotiating, setting goals and most importantly learning to understand a client's needs and trying to provide value and exceed expectations. After 11 years I moved across to Mercedes-Benz bringing with it another level of expectation and professionalism. I finished my time with Mercedes-Benz as the Sales Manager, enjoying the added responsibilities of looking after a department as well as marketing and planning. I then spent 18 months as a business development manager for External IT, looking after existing clients while creating new opportunities for the business before taking on a new challenge in Real Estate with Belle Property where I feel like I have found my future long-term career.Outside of my "normal" job, I have held the Townsville Baseball President Role from 2014-2022 and been able to help grow the league to 8 teams, overseen key additions and upgrades to our grounds and help provide pathway for our players, both male and female. In 2022 I accepted a role with the Baseball Queensland Board with the goal to continue to help grow and support the game at state level. I am also thoroughly enjoying my role as a coach, whether little league or representing our region, trying to leave an impact on the future generations of the game. LinkedIn has been a great place to meet like-minded people that work around the sort of issues and problems we solve daily. It is also a great place to learn off those who are on similar paths or had success in their industries or roles, so if I am reaching out it's because I feel we may be able to provide value for each other.
