Directs, plans, and organizes the functions of Gateway Services CDD - Public Works Department including roads, storm water systems, parks and recreation, fleet maintenance, facility maintenance and capital improvements. Responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive Public Works Program and executing all Master Plans for the District. Coordinates all Public Works Programs and activities with other city, county, state, and federal departments and/or agencies. Monitors inter-governmental actions affecting Public Works; Ensuring District compliance with all rules and regulations as required by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and any federal, county and city regulatory agency having jurisdiction over District activities. Inspects facilities and directs or takes corrective action for operational, mechanical, or electrical malfunctions including the parks and amenities. Attends meetings regularly and provides technical support to the Sub-Committees, Committees, and Board of Supervisors for the District.
