SJSU EPICS(Engineering Projects in Community Service) is an extracurricular class that uses community service to teach and provide experience for students. The service to our community partners engages students, and illustrates the application of engineering and technology for the benefit of the community. It requires students to apply what they learned in the classroom to authentic, real-world engineering challenges, which develops strong design skills. It also develops empathy, teamwork, communication and leadership, which are skills valued by industry and by society. Accomplishments-Designed and implemented an LED lighting system for a proposed landmark in downtown San Jose based on customer needs and expectations as well as team and advisor input.-Developed various documentations including budget plans, CAD Design files, product user manuals, weekly progress reports, and future project proposals.-Periodically met with community partners and faculty advisors in order to discuss weekly developments, budgetary affairs, and to receive professional input on the project

Thundersoft is known for their rigorous and thorough tests on their prototype smartphones in order to ensure complete lack of error in their products.Accomplishments-Collaborated and worked closely with four other international interns to develop and enhance the user interface system on pre-released smartphones. -Utilized the Android Debugging Bridge to simulate random user events and ran multiple quality assurance tests to minimize interface bugs and glitches.-Developed detailed weekly presentations of testing results with other intern teams to discuss common issues and develop proposed solutions.
