Member in the architecture group at Sandvik with responsibility for Integration. Worked in close collaboration with other domains such as BI and MDM but also Solution and Service architects and other stakeholders within the company regarding expectations and requirements. Accountable for developing, maintaining and communicating knowledge about the Integration domain to stakeholdersResponsibilities also included (but not limited to) capturing knowledge of subject matter experts and other best practices, development of technical roadmaps, ensuring measurement of adherence to roadmaps and instructions, performing architectural reviews,Active member in ICC (Integration Competence Center) management team with focus on how to align and improve the operations to better support the overall business and IT strategy. The result was a changed focus and mindset from have been a supplier of integration technology into the projects to become an valuable contributor early in the projects to avoid costly point-to-point integrations. Various architect-assignments spanning from advising projects, prestudies, information modelling, requirement analysis to specifying and coordinating the development in various projects ranging from complex long transactions over several weeks to real-time systems with thousands of call every day. Developed an information centric integration strategy for one the business areas. The goal was to create and get acceptance on a strategy which focused on how the business could reuse and share the information, instead of the technology, between different business units and processes.

As the plattformowner I had the technical responsibility for Java related matters including development of technical roadmaps for the Java operational and development environment, develop and maintain guidelines and performing architectural reviews of projects to ensure adherence to the guidelines. Coordinated a team of 5 developers who worked with both new development of integration solutions along with maintenance of existing systems.Responsible for strategy, technical architecture, design and implementation of an integration platform against System Z (mainframe) and System I (AS400). Apart from technical advantages of being able to open up the old legacy systems using the latest standards, modern tools could be used in the development and an agile development process was introduced. Owner and responsible for the development process and tools for Java development within the company. The responsibility included continuous improvement of the process and tools, but also guidance, education and governance.Acting as Integration architect in various projects.

IT Consultant with focus on system development in Java. - Designed and implemented data extract programs (ETL) which where used to extract and transport information continuously from more than 10 different ERP systems running 60+ instances to a Business Intelligence Warehouse for a major Swedish company. - Also took lead in introducing and implementing ALM and Configuration Management tools used for Java development for a customer.

Research within Digital TV and the Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) which makes it possible to create interactive services upon a SetTopBox. The project included design and setup of a local MHP broadcasting system in Gävle and development of a number of prototype services which was evaluated.

Working with state of the art technology within mobile video communications.Worked with streaming media for handheld mobile devices. An important task within the project was to evaluate various technology providers and at the same time create a system architecture how the products would fit into Telia Mobile current 2G/3G network. The projects also contained business related goals such as investigating how different business models could be used for mobile video, A recurring task was to demonstrate and present the new technology and its possibilities to various guests in the Telia future exhibition.Mobile video, System architecture, Wireless networks, Telecomunication

The thesis included building a prototype for streaming/broadcasting realtime video to one or more different handheld devices. To succeed a scalable system was built which allowed each handheld to self decide how much media-data it should decode and render. The prototype was used in a project looking into how IT could be used in live events (such as Ice hockey, soccer, etc) to enrich the event.
