I'm a software developer with many years of experience creating successful products in C++ and Java having hundreds of thousands of users and generating millions of dollars in revenue.My experience has taken me from graduate studies at the University of Illinois to successful companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. At X.commerce and Paypal, I was part of a team working on PayPal Access, which allows people to log into any website using their PayPal account information. At Mongonet Inc., I helped create a service which cleans up images from a fax transmission and then converts them into Adobe Acrobat files which can be archived or sent by email. I was also a key contributor in the design and implementation of the scalable system that processes several hundred thousand faxes every month. At Paravue/FlashFoto Inc., I led the early design and implementation of a product that can locate and extract important objects from images and which may pave the way towards automatic image labeling and better image search engine technology. When working with Metascopic, I created video analysis software which, for example, would determine the direction the camera was moving.I work mostly in Java and C++, with some perl from time to time.
