I’ve been working at ABB Marine Division/Azipod® electric propulsion as a consultant since 2014. In the beginning, I worked as a mechanical engineer delivering projects for various customers. In addition, I have several years of experience in propeller design. In 2023, I started a new role as a Lead Mechanical Engineer in the R&D team. Currently, I lead a team of 5 engineers. My main responsibility is to ensure my team update standard product structures, as well as create and develop a library of standard components. In practice, this means that the team receives information about necessary updates from internal and external stakeholders. Each case is investigated, and when a suitable solution for the entire life cycle chain (supplier, production, service, etc.) is found, we update the standard structure. This work includes revising 3D models, drawings, documentation, instructions and purchasing information. In the future, I would like to develop my leadership skills and knowledge in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering.
