Online since 1999 (AOL 5.0). I was lucky enough to experience dial-up, play Yahoo Chess, and watch internet technology evolve despite the looming threat of Y2K. Around June of 2011, I decided to fund my musical career by doing graphic design, photoshop, and websites. I quickly learned that I really liked programming and decided to treat it like a video game and let it consume my life. Not only did it become a source of income, but it became a source of entertainment for me.A brief overview of the technical skillsets I have acquired include:- Deep browser app knowledge- Deep server-side app knowledge- Strong SQL knowledge- Highly practical Linux knowledge- Highly practical DevOps knowledgeA bit more detail:- DOM, BOM, and vanilla js, typescript; building front-ends with virtually any framework (or lack thereof) that compiles into javascript- Deep understanding of CSS logic / how it will be interpreted by the browser; building with SCSS most of the time, but have worked with LESS, PostCSS, Styled Components, and others.- I've developed quite the dexterity with vanilla NodeJS. I've used it for consuming APIs that give raw TCP/UDP connections to forward livestreams, clustering to multi-core process data, file manipulations, stream passthroughs, build scripts, background job processors, REST APIs, and more.- Data architecture and system design, including IDEF1X, SSADM- SQL Server, stored procedures, and complex queries. Have built entire apps in pure SQL.- Event driven architecture, observer patterns, functional programming, OOP- TDD / BDD style testings- Dev, Deployment and infrastructure tools and systems such as Jenkins, Terraform, Pulumi, GH Actions, Ansible, Docker.- Practical working Linux/Unix knowledge (Debian/Ubuntu/PopOS and RH/Fedora/Centos); have deployed low-architecture stacks using cron and systemd services that run REST servers and background jobs.Feel free to message me if you are interested in connecting!
