Responsible for the overall financial results, service standards and team development operations of 11 retail stores throughout Southeast Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin markets. Duties include but are not limited to; recruiting, hiring, training, customer service, visual workshops, inventory control, corporate initiatives, coaching for excellence, profit and loss statements, matrix planner rollouts, merchandise and store experience reports. • Responsible for redevelopment and successful restructuring of an under-performing market• Direct and supervise the work activities of 16 managers, 34 department managers and 360 associates throughout multiple states.• Leverage strengths of those with different backgrounds, knowledge, styles, talents and perspectives to achieve sales objectives.• Strong focus on recruiting, training and developing all management levels to ensure the company objectives are understood and executed.• Further improved the customer experience by way of elevating visual presentations, upgrading talent, and developing a stronger selling culture.• Develop, review and maintain Succession Plans bi-weekly with each store manager.• Facilitated change initiatives, i.e. new brand rollout, image building marketing events and test programs.• Use key analytics, processes and management systems to monitor district performance against company objectives. • Translate broad strategies into specific objectives, sales metrics and action plans. Responsible for the operations of thirteen (13) stores throughout Southeast Michigan and Toledo Ohio. Duties include, recruiting, hiring, training, customer service, visual workshops, inventory control, corporate initiatives, coaching for excellence, profit and loss statements, matrix planner rollouts, merchandise and store experience reports.• Directed and supervised the work activities of 13 managers and 250 associates.• Analyzed weekly sales reports, as well as, formulate and distributed sales workbooks for each manager.• Conducted weekly conference calls to discuss sales, personnel, product concerns and labor performances.• Guided management personnel in areas of coaching, training associates, customer service, Inventory Control and effective communication.• Conducted monthly and yearly performance reviews.• Developed and implemented procedures that improved District's overall operations, which was later adopted companywide.• Initiated merchandise strategies, which resulted in implementation of new product assortments.• Implemented new Loss Prevention measures for the district that decreased shrink and improved sales.• Successfully closed every Loss Prevention/theft case.• Facilitated District meetings by preparing agendas, as well as, devising and distributing pre-work.• Reviewed and reacted to profit statements monthly.• Develop, review and maintain Succession Plans bi-weekly with each store manager.• Trained and developed 15 managers who are currently employed in Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Alabama and Ohio. • Successfully trained two Managers' to the position of District Manager in Alabama & Michigan/Ohio.• Conducted meetings with Students In-Free Enterprise (SIFE) Chapter at the University of Michigan to mentor and recruit business minded graduates.• Member of the Eastland Merchant Advisory Board, acting as expert in the athletic footwear sector.• Served as a mentor to high school students to discuss pre-employment techniques.
