Hello LinkedIn community. My name is Danilo Díaz, and I am an Ecuadorian professional with over 30 years of experience in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects in both the private and public sectors. I have always been interested in engaging with international projects and initiatives. After earning my degree in mechanical engineering, I enrolled in the Andean Peace Scholarship Program, sponsored by the USAID Agency in Ecuador, and participated in a highly competitive selection process at the national level among leaders to pursue a master’s degree at a U.S. university. Upon my return to Ecuador, I took part in the selection process conducted by the USAID contractor, Hagler Bailly Inc., for the position of Country Manager of the Ecuadorian Environmental Pollution Project (E2P3), sponsored by USAID and the US EPA in several developing countries.Life has been a collection of positive experiences, and I am very enthusiastic about continuing to grow and participate in projects that benefit the community. Throughout my professional career, I have learned to connect with highly diverse social groups and have enjoyed leading multidisciplinary work teams. I deeply believe that we can contribute to building a better world for the well-being of humanity, and it is essential to integrate different areas of human life toward that goal. This perspective has allowed me to lead projects in various areas of human well-being, such as pollution prevention, pollution management systems, energy efficiency practices, power generation through alternative energy sources, strategic project planning, and social assistance projects for high-risk populations. Recently, due to the alarming effects of climate change, which are increasingly visible in the region—such as the severe drought affecting Ecuador’s major hydroelectric plants—I have ventured into the research and development of new generation alternatives, like using green hydrogen. I sincerely believe that one can always seek renewal in knowledge and, above all, in the attitude of service to the community.
