About Danilo Hess
Danilo Hess was born in Colombia, Missouri in 1979. He moved to New York City in 2001 to pursue a degree in photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Quickly after, he started assisting with many fashion photographers and working in production. Six years later, Danilo started shooting professionally in New York and Asia. Embracing the use of natural light, Danilo has started to create photographs that possess a cinematic quality, but never lacking the polished look. His images are beautifully composed and well thought out. Hess plays with the idea of sensual romanticism and the use of unsolved narratives. Hess’s work has appeared in publications worldwide including: Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Preview, Noise, Highlights, Odalisque, Superior.Danilo currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
