Engagement, leadership, and passion drive all of my professional decisions. I have over 10 years’ experience in retail and pharmacy operations. In 2012, my Pharmacy Supervisor promoted me to a multimillion dollar, though challenged business unit because she believed I would drive excellence through effective leadership. The pharmacy had great potential, but yielded negative sales trends and sub-optimal team engagement and customer delight. The first few months taught me several valuable lessons about leading people, and also solidified my desire to be a healthcare professional who works to keep my team and patients happy and healthy. The best path to achieving this, I’ve learned, is a daily focus on service, efficiency, and execution. Today, I am a Pharmacy Manager who meets business challenges head-on and leads team of 10 to perform at their maximum potential. We boast an engagement score of 4.9 on a 5.0 scale, 16% above the regional average. We celebrate team and individual accomplishments, and are consistent in our efforts to improve performance through dialogue and role play. In addition, customer delight is currently at 90%, up 30 points from 70%, in 2012. The manifestation of these gains is an increase in sales revenue of > $1,000,000 over last year.
