Graphic Design Software is an introduction to the digital tools and processes used in graphic design. Emphasis is placed on learning to use the computer as a means of producing print graphics and inte­grating your design knowledge with software tools. Students use the Macintosh operating system and the following design software packages: Adobe Photoshop CS5.5, Adobe Illustrator CS5.5, and Adobe InDesign CS5.5; with an overview of Adobe Acrobat Pro and emerging media.The course also provides with an essential introduction to typography, basic and advance principles, and critical evaluation of design through type.
