PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEDesign, higher education, museum field, and student affairs. My desire is to explore perception and speed through my research and find creative and imaginative ways of presenting my findings. The goal is to investigate the ability to visually communicate at different speeds and to create different levels of cognition through the factors of acceleration and construction of messages that raise consciousness, sensitivity, and conviction.I am fascinated with visualizing data through new media and exploring different levels of interactivity between the viewer and the point of interface. Furthermore, it is my strong desire to find new conduits to channel my research and my comprehensive knowledge of the canonical design principals and practices. This is achievable through both my artistic and academic practices. In all my research, teaching, and art practice I strive towards excellence, progress, experimentation, and future enhancement of my skills, and finding ways to inspire fellow artists and my students.I focus my teaching practice equally on both the individual and the group; my goal is to enable my students to function as both strong solo creators and as dynamic team participants. My goal is to both enrich and enhance the creative potential of my students, and open their eyes to new media, tools, and considerations when it comes to design.Specialties: Principles of 2D and 3D design applied to print, motion, and web. Experienced in concept development, problem-solving and research, idea implementation and critical evaluation. Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy, AfterEffects, Audition, FinalCut, Muse, Acrobat DC, Bridge, Lightroom, iWorks and MS Office.
