Building on my previous experience and research, my role inside of the organization has evolved to lead the strategy and vision on how to activate global social change networks among social innovators, Ashoka Fellows and partners to ultimately establish the grounds for collective impact initiatives. I lead a global team of 8 market managers distributed all around the world and, having the Changemakers Challenges Platform as the starting point, I have led the outreach and community engagement strategy for global Challenges in partnership with Intel, SAP, Gates and the LEGO Foundation, mapping and defining collaborating structures that can accelerate the rate at which change happens in different sectors. The networks reached more than 60 countries and 1000 innovators, with a commitment to empower everyone to be an agent of change. Show less

Coming from a period of indecision and uncertainty for the program due to political changes, my work with the Acessa São Paulo team was to both develop a new vision and strategy to increase our impact in the region, and develop a good working, collaborative and creative environment for the team. Among the results, the main network strategy of the program won the Arede national prize for government digital inclusion programs in 2011. Show less

I was granted a PhD scholarship from the Internet Interdisciplinary Intitute (IN3), associated which the Open University of Catalonia. My research in the field of Social and Technology Studies (STS) and Community Informatics (CI) consisted in a 6 months ethnographic field work in a public access center near Barcelona to analyze the appropriation of technology by the users, and also the participation of the center and its staff on the wider Catalonian telecenter network.

Together with Leonardo Sakamoto and other partners, we launched the Repórter Brasil first website, which was the starting point for what would become the globally recognized Repórter Brasil organization. I was responsible for developing the first website of the NGO and providing technology support to different projects between 2000 and 2006. In 2004, I coordinated the development of the system used to put together the chain analysis about slave labor in Brazil.
