Responsible for leadership, management, training, and recruiting for the Residential Life department. I supervise a team of full-time professionals and guide them as they supervise part-time student employees. Safety and learning are the top priority. Crisis response 24/7/365 for residential students dealing with mental health concerns, academic support, social connection, etc.

As a Residential Learning & Neighborhood Coordinator (RLNC) I had overall responsibility for creating a safe, secure, and learner-centered environment in an area of 2,000-3,000 residents. In this position I had the opportunity for frequent and meaningful interactions with students in a variety of settings. As a RLNC I oversaw staff supervision, academic support, student conduct, crisis management, social justice education, space management, and operational fiduciary oversight; while conducting my working in a student-centered manner that promoted excellence in development, innovation, and collaboration.

As an Area Coordinator I am responsible for the Residential Life side of Owen Hall. I supervise two Staff Residents (pre-professionals) and two Residence Education Coordinators (entry-level professionals) while they supervise the Resident Assistants (RAs) for Owen, Tarkington, and Wiley Halls. My residence halls include more than 2,200 residents. I manage the budget and day to day administrative tasks so that students can focus on academics and learning. I enjoy my work as a conduct officer and find that those conversations can be very impactful for students.

As an ACUHO-I Intern worked as a Conference Manager for Conference Services, collaborated with the other Managers to run summer conferences at Oberlin College. Supervised 14 conference assistants and oversaw daily operations of the office.

-Problem solved and used creative strategies and communication skills to resolve conflicts and maintain positive rapport with residents and administration.-Worked cohesively with team of 16 RAs to accomplish mission statement.-Filed written weekly reports, incident reports, program and self-evaluations. -Collaborated with supervisors bi-weekly to set, revise, and achieve goals.-Responsible for the safety and well being of 100+ residents-Enforced rules and facilitated emergency procedures-Build community for residents

-With three other people ran volunteer housing center for 80+ volunteers per week for eight weeks, working 15+ hour days.-Oversaw up to ten home repair projects each week and directly supervised volunteers, providing them with guidance and encouragement.-Coordinated the purchasing, hauling and site delivery of approximately 5 tons of construction supplies weekly.
