Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, the below-mentioned areas were in my domain;• Leading financial budgeting & forecasting cycles for business-to-business segments of Vodafone Qatar;• Maintaining a consistent track of actual performance against budget and identifying the key drivers behind deviations;• In-depth analysis of revenue and subscriber KPIs in coordination with sales & marketing teams;• Presentations to C-level executives covering the holistic view of year-to-date performance of the entire enterprise business unit and the way forward for year-to-go;• Workshops with sales and marketing heads to brainstorm and agree on the future course of action to use market factors and existing pipeline to our advantage;• Monitoring progress on key projects of business segments which are critical to achieving the business strategy in the context of long-range plans approved by the Board of Directors;• Liaising with marketing teams for market research, product design/ launch and various promotions; and• Assessing marketing and sales business cases from revenue and subscriber KPIs perspective.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations and managing eight people, including team members in shared service centres in Germany, Hungary and India, my area of responsibility covered the following;• Monthly closing of prepaid and postpaid revenues for mobile business, international roaming and interconnect revenues and costs, intercompany transactions, operational expenses, withholding taxes and non-financial KPIs;• Preparation of Monthly Pack including P&L, Balance Sheet and supporting reconciliations for monthly presentation to the CFO including commentaries for the month over month and forecast to actual variances;• Review and finalization of quarterly, half-yearly and annual statutory financial statements, management of external audits and compliance with reporting requirements from Vodafone Group;• Managing regulatory reporting requirements such as certification of yearly License Fees, filing of annual Income Tax Returns and monthly Withholding Tax Returns and recurring projects assigned by management;• Managing resources in shared service centres, including review of tasks performed to ensure accuracy and completeness of respective P&L and Balance Sheet lines;

• Advising accounting treatment of complex transactions using IFRS and related guidance provided by group accounting manual (e.g. Mergers and Acquisitions, Investments, Asset Retirement Obligation);• Updating senior management with IFRS changes and their impact on financials;• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including consolidation of subsidiaries, in compliance with IFRS and applicable corporate laws; • Monthly variance analysis of Income Statement and Statement of Financial Position covering comparisons with forecasts as a part of monthly closing. • Monthly reporting of accruals to the highest management level, supervision of all capex/opex accruals and surplus identification/ reversal; and• Working on accounting quality projects assigned from time to time.

• Assisting senior manager/partner in the preparation of engagement proposals encompassing an explanation of the firm’s competencies, agreeing on the scope of engagement and related fees based on time cost estimates;• Planning an engagement starting from understanding the business and its regulatory environment, determining the applicable financial reporting framework, preliminary financial analysis and agreeing on the engagement timeline; • Assigning work to subordinate staff and supervision and review e.g. vouching and verification of bank/cash payment/receipt vouchers and journal vouchers, work performed on accounts receivable/ payable; • Verifying compliance with applicable corporate/ tax laws and highlighting non-compliances;• Preparing final deliverables such as the letter to the Board of Directors, audit/ assurance report and recommendation-oriented internal control report.
