• Work on Research Project involving development of an Impulse force reduction technology to eliminate the impact of vibrations in HISLO conditions, funded by NIOSH-CDC• Using Itasca’s PFC framework in DEM environment, I developed an algorithm and comprehensive code (in FISH language) to simulate the dumping process of P&H 4100 XPC shovel bucket. • The model is the first attempt to dynamically predict the impact forces generated on the CAT 793D dump truck at every time step. • Moreover, the model is used to optimize the dumping process in order to reduce the impact force and in turn reducing the impact of vibrations by 20%• A rigorous mathematical model for dynamic impact force was also developed and tested in Itasca’s PFC framework• Developed technology will be used on commercial scale through NIOSH and Caterpillar in order to study the impact forces on dump truck in working environment, optimizing the dumping process and thus enhancing the work place safety.•Assisting Dr Frimpong (Robert H. Quenon Endowed Chair of Mining Engineering Department – Missouri S & T) and few other professors in several other projects.
