Danielle is a passionate Program Manager and Developer in the Non-Profit and Social Services field, dedicated to supporting communities from an intersectional and equitable lens. She has dedicated almost 10 years working with various organizations in the Mental Health and Non-Profit fields to coordinate and develop programs that are trauma, survivor, and culturally informed. Danielle has contributed to the field in her various roles as a Frontline Worker, Program Coordinator, Program and Project Developer, Consultant, Research Assistant, and Taskforce Member. She seeks to identify the gaps in projects and programs, then develop and manage creative solutions - leading to her expertise in program and organizational development. All her work incorporates her lived experience as a queer Filipina and survivor of Gender-Based Violence.Most recently, in her roles within Aura Freedom, Danielle supported the development of the "GBV In The Media" project, and is an author of National Guidelines on Gender-Based Violence in the Media - which she recently presented to the UN Women as a successful project for gender-based violence prevention. She has written and consulted on briefs for various levels of government, including the Brief for Aura Freedom's Urgent Call to Action, which successfully saw Intimate-Partner Violence declared an Epidemic in Toronto.Danielle has consulted for various organizations including Victim Services Toronto, Law Commission of Ontario, the United Nations, and more. She has both led and supported various program and project initiatives to address gaps in services, including independently developing a 10-session psychoeducational group counselling program for a Violence Against Women (VAW) program, working on a Sexual Violence Prevention Taskforce with Humber College, and developing content for a Human Trafficking Youth Symposium with over 22,500 attendees.She is an award-winning graduate of both the University of Toronto’s Neuroscience and Psychology Programs, as well as Humber’s Post-Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health Program. She is also the Co-Founder and former Executive of both a women’s community and children’s charity chapter, and an elected executive for a number of mental health and charitable organizations such as UTSC's Jack.Org chapter. She is passionate in her mission to coordinate, manage, and develop new initiatives, programs, and projects within the field to create a more equitable future - and brings her varied expertise from her academic, frontline, advocacy, and lived experiences to all her work.
