Freedom Centre does this by reducing social isolation, promoting help-seeking and informing LGBTIQ young people through its drop-in centre, website and community workshops to young people in schools and people who work with young people.As the only full time staff member working at FC I had primary responsibility for the following:• Providing peer support, information and referrals to LGBTIQ young people and their families through the drop-in centre, email, phone, online forums, blog, retreats and workshops • Providing information and guidance to professionals working with LGBTIQ young people through enquiries and workshops• Training and supervising the FC volunteer team of staff and part-time staff who help facilitate the drop-in centre• Planning, development, evaluation, reporting and administration of Freedom Centre services• Delivering and coordinating all services and projects run by the FC• Proving feedback and recommendations on a range of reference, advisory and working groups for projects that aim to promote the wellbeing of young people and/or LGBTIQ populations.
