My work as Training and Development Manager for the World Governing body for the sport of Sailing, World Sailing (formerly known as the International Sailing Federation - ISAF) has included both the creation, monitoring and strategic implementation of a number of high profile projects. Developing the implementation structures behind the highly successful ‘Connect to Sailing’ initiative enabled me to work with a number of high profile companies who are involved as partners of the initiative. A number of these partners were also later involved in my work in creating the successful ISAF Youth Worlds Emerging Nations Program (ENP).My contribution to the ISAF Training Resource publications through co-writing the ISAF Coaching Fundamentals, ISAF Personal Logbook, ISAF Beginners Guide to Dinghy Sailing, ISAF Member Manual and ISAF National Training Programme guidelines has been positively received by many National Sailing Federations. My work has been pivotal in the creation of the Sports-specific Training Scholarship for Sailing Coaches, the 'ISAF Training Scholarship' and I have written the content of the Level 1 and 2 ISAF Technical Courses for Coaches. I am a member of the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) International Sport Federation (IF) working group involved in the development of the International Sport Coaching Framework (ISCF) and also a member of the International Learning Set (ILS) group involved in the development of the UNICEF International Safeguarding standards Framework.

My role was to help the company develop and manage solutions for the provision of equipment to sail training centres, yacht clubs and commercial sailing schools both in the UK as well as for key international watersports holiday company accounts.As well as sales of the boats, i was also heavily involved in the development of a number of important design aspects of some of the 'All Purpose' fleet of dinghies, using my knowledge of delivering sail training programs to aid the usability features on the boats.In the 3 years working at RS Sailing, i surpassed all of my sales quotas and left a long-term legacy for the fleet and educational fleet sales area of the company.
