In my current role as Operations Manager, I leverage my extensive experience leading and optimizing retail store operations. During the height of the Covid pandemic, I worked in a high street branch of shoe zone to bring a sales attitude to a traditionally discount retail environment. The key tasks daily were encouraging an increase in average transaction values, merchandising for seasons and promotion as well as health and safety.

Starting as a Customer Consultant in a standalone store, I worked on the front line selling products, setting up contracts, store merchandising & cleanliness as well as dealing with customer support issues. Within my first year in the business, I attended and graduated the Dixons Carphone management training programme, Aspire, and then acted as a cover manager in other stores and well as looking after my home branch in absence of management, before taking over my own store. I also took on voluntary roles within the business, running the Apple Master programme across the retail region as well as supporting the Virgin Media rep in training activity. I also worked closely with the Regional Manager to support him and help organise listening groups and other meeting activity.

Whilst working as a key holder in the retail arm of Greggs The Bakers, my main duties consisted of dealing with customers, food production, the presentation of stock & point of sale along with handling cash.
