At Soft Surroundings, member of the leadership team responsible for the evolution and execution of a multifaceted cost savings and turnaround strategy that included a reduction in unprofitable retail store locations, reduction of excess inventory, realignment of vendor relationships and payables position, and relocation of a distribution center to a third-party partner. Recognizing that a sale, new financing, or equity infusion was needed to address liquidity, initiated a formal marketing process along with a refinancing of the existing credit facility allowing time for the sale process to complete. The culmination of the process was a restructuring support agreement providing for the sale of the direct-to-consumer business and the subsequent wind-down of the brick and mortar locations through a plan of reorganization. At CW Holdings, member of the leadership team responsible for the evolution and execution of the acquired Soft Surroundings business turnaround efforts and the continued evolution and improvement of the Coldwater Creek business.Key accomplishments include:⏩ Navigated the Soft Surroundings business through a sale process, the development of a restructuring support plan, the bankruptcy process, including a sale transaction and wind-down of a portion of the business.⏩ Delivered savings of approximately $600,000 in reduced retail store lease costs.⏩ Led the finance function through an extremely difficult liquidity environment, including four separate refinancings of the credit facility.⏩ Further managed the turnaround efforts of the Soft Surroundings business post-restructuring, contributing over $20M in improved EBITDA year-over-year.
