About Dan Kryling

Transitioning after 30 years in the US Navy. Have always been a fixer and a problem solver. I graduated Fire Controlman (Advanced Electronic Field) back in 1993 and went on to Specialize as an Aegis Computer Technician. I was a perfect fit in this position since I was good at fixing things. Every problem was a puzzle that I had to solve. As I moved on I started to lead groups of other technicians. I expanded my skills with more advanced technologies. I gained experience with RADARS, and power distribution systems, Soldering and Bench work for repairs and was a proficient in MS DOS and then UNIX/LINUX operating systems. As I moved on in my career as a Senior Enlisted Technician I was always involved with the personnel and professional development of my newer technicians and technical leads with an emphasis on cross training and procedural compliance. I lead training teams to train and qualify technicians as well as tactical watch standers at all levels. After about 20 yrs of Service I wanted to expand my abilities and applied and received a Commission as a Navy Warrant Officer 3. I completed a successful tour as an Electronics Material Officer leading a dynamic department of technicians that who were the fix it crew for the command across multiple departments. I served as a Systems Test Officer and used my advanced knowledge of technical and tactical weapons employment to maintain lead ships combat teams on complex Ballistic Missile Defense and shipboard defense situations. I also have experience managing Ordnance and Weapons for Navy's oldest overseas Station in Guantanamo Bay Cuba as well as Naval Special Warfare weapons and ordnance for Naval Special Warfare Logistics Support Unit 8.
