An experienced and proven process engineer and project manager with a record of identifying and overcoming the challenges encountered while establishing manufacturing capability for business success. My technical career began in corporate R&D, investigating plasma and thin film processing techniques and characterization methods for numerous applications. I used this foundation to transition into applied process development for manufacturing implementation to directly support product programs. In recent years I have expanded my background and skills to include various packaging operations. I have demonstrated throughout my career the ability to:• show technical feasibility of a process / material at the fundamental research level• identify vendors and equipment to enable process scale-up• develop and optimize processes for manufacturing transfer• work with manufacturing teams to introduce and qualify required equipment and processes• maintain collaboration with manufacturing organizations to assure continuous process quality and investigate further opportunities for improvementMy experience has allowed me to lead projects and act as technical liaison between internal and external suppliers and manufacturing partners in the U.S., Europe and Asia.I have also maintained throughout my career a significant presence in the field of math and science (STEM) education, working with students ranging from primary grades through high school, as well as teachers, parents and administrators. This has included:• designing lesson plans and materials for hands on activities within the classroom and at various venues• collaborating with and training teachers and parents for participating in these activities• demonstrating and leading students directly in these activitiesI have taken a leadership role in numerous Science Outreach programs within the community. I currently serve as a math and science tutor for several school districts and organizations.
