Conception and creation of uplink.weforum.org - a new digital platform crowd-sourcing open innovation around the SDGs to feed into and augment the Forum’s existing multi-stakeholder activities. Delivered initial launch & growth of the team and platform before handing-over the team leadership role to focus fully on platform development.

Responsibile for the creation and setup of a dedicated product management team with the Forum Technology group. Designing and Developing the Forum's internal and customer facing digital properties with a distributed team of product managers and designers.

Geneva Area, Switzerland

Building upon the relations built through my five years consultancy (see below) to the World Economic Forum (www.weforum.org), I accepted a role as a project manager within the Forum’s internal IT team with the principal responsibility for pushing technology innovation within the Forum. Promotions in 2007, 2010 and 2014 to Director level, leading the development of digital collaboration products to support the Forum's membership.

Milan Area, Italy

Building upon the relationships previously developed within Accenture I was offered the opportunity to contribute once again to the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting technology projects, now based in Milan. With overall responsibility for the mobile web component of the platform I joined an Italian team working towards the Annual Meeting 2006.

France, Netherlands

Seeking new professional and personal challenges I combined my passion for cycling and travel to work for Backroads, the leading active vacation specialists in the USA. Managing cycle tours for US-based clients across France and the Netherlands, Backroads leaders are responsible for up to 25 people at a time, handling everything from trip logistics to route-finding, bicycle repair and much more. Pre-requisites for the job are superb people skills, cultural knowledge, problem solving ability, language skills and physical endurance.

Tanzania

A nine-month voluntary placement with the UK-based volunteer organization VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas www.vso.org.uk). Bagamoyo College of Arts (now TASUBA) is Tanzania’s leading educational establishment focused on the arts. Working with the assistance of the Swedish International Development Agency, my role was to develop IT capacity at BCA. Responsibilities include conception and creation of a new website to open the college to the outside world, training staff and students in creative IT, network administration, business and technical advisory to the college, creation of a college cinema and construction of a multimedia editing suite (amongst others).

London, United Kingdom

During my time at Accenture, one of the world’s leading technology and management consultancies I worked as a consultant on a range of technology projects developing a speciality in providing cutting-edge IT solutions for major international conferences. Working as part of a compact, multi-cultural team we successfully partnered with major providers such as HP to provide online tools which helped conference participants make the most of their time. Selected projects clients include : World Economic Forum (www.weforum.org), Mexico Business Summit 2003 (www.mexicobusinesssummit.org), Global Convergence Forum Mobile Information Guide, Monaco 2002.

Paris Area, France

Working independently and alongside French clients and colleagues, my principle roles at Masai Systems, a specialist French IT consultancy were in the design and realisation of intranet sites for a range of Paris-based clients such as Sony, SNCF and Sernam (French Railways).
