A robot cameraman.I opened and operated the San Diego office which eventually became company headquarters.I recruited, hired, and built out the Android, Mobile, Web, and Cloud software development teams. Designed, architected, and managed the implementation of the backend services and systems that comprised the SOLOSHOT platform including its API, live and on-demand video streaming and delivery, firmware distribution, and its analytics and reporting dashboards.SOLOSHOT’s platform was built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using many services including: API Gateway, Athena, CloudFront, Cognito, EC2, Elastic Transcoder, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch, Lambda, Redshift, RDS, Route 53, SNS, and S3. The Live platform utilizes Wowza Streaming Engine, and GoCoder SDK and is streamed at scale utilizing HLS for delivery to the Web and Mobile Applications.I established and managed vendor relationships with on-shore and off-shore software development companies utilized in the development of the Web, and Mobile apps, and the desktop video editing application.I worked with the Android team on development of the core product in the areas of: API integration, OTA software/firmware downloads, live streaming, video pipeline optimization and color correction, network and Wi-Fi configuration, tuning, testing, and creation and management of AWS hosted build servers for Android, camera, and embedded code.I was responsible for all infrastructure and application services including: San Diego office networking infrastructure (built with Ubiquiti Networks equipment), email, DNS, SSL certs, GoDaddy, Box, Slack, BitBucket, Confluence, JIRA, ChartIO, Apple App Store, Google analytics and Play store.
