Dan Lasher served as the organization’s first Chief Information Security Officer at TD Synnex, one of the world’s leading end-to-end IT distributor. He built and led high performing teams with a spirit of innovation, engineering discipline and agility. He was responsible for the company’s worldwide innovation architecture, IT capabilities and operations and leads a global technology team, driving innovation through TD SYNNEX’s global enterprise systems and world-class e-business solutions. These technologies support the entire TD SYNNEX Corporation, which generated $61 billion in net sales and shipped tens of millions of technology products to more than 150,000 IT reseller customers in more than 100 countries during its last fiscal year. Dan joined the organization in 1992 as the chief technical innovator of its eBusiness group, leading the development of the organization’s e-business platforms, growing the e-business share by 300%. He was subsequently promoted through a number of roles spanning eBusiness Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Technology operations and Cloud Innovation as Vice President, Information Technology.

Architecture: Work with business and technology stakeholders help to set technology vision, direction and strategic objectives that ensure that product strategies are designed, built and deployed using technology best practices while ensuring the best possible customer experience. Acts as the architectural evangelist, socializing and marketing the benefits of key architectural initiatives to senior leaders throughout the organization defining and driving common architectural standards across the organization. Creates a long-term strategy prioritization plan for shared architecture development across the organization. Drives programs that support increasing the organizations capacity for innovation. Is the Chief Architect and leader for enterprise architects, who institutes policy, program, and standards to ensure IT development and deployment is done within the context of industry best practices. Conducts architecture reviews of strategic projects and provides consultative assistance throughout the lifecycle development from conceptualization to deployment. Ensures systems are scalable, fault tolerant, extensible, have optimal performance, are secure, portable, supportable, sustainable, adhere to our long term strategy and adhere to architectural principles.IT Security: Oversees the Global IT Security organization which is comprised of operational functions, Identity and Access Management and Infosec. The security focus is business enablement of Tech Data's diverisification strategy. SOX Compliance, GCC controls and adherance to local and industry regulations is a key focus for the security organization as well as safeguarding data and intellectual assets of the organization and our vendor partners.

Current role specializes in the strategic planning and execution of Tech Data's eBusiness solutions. As the business owner of 56% of Tech Data's revenue stream, my role defines the development roadmap, acts as the business laison to our customers and suppliers, provides change management assistance to the development organization, provides technical consulting to the internal development team to ensure solutions meet the business need and are secure, scalable, portable and maintainable. Additionally, my team provides consultantion services to our customers and vendors wanting to leverage Tech Data's digital assets.

Responsible for the development and adoption of Tech Data's eBusiness initiatives in North America inclusive of Web Portals and Integrated B2B capabilities. Leader of the Development Factory and product ownership of all web portals, search engines, merchandising, advanced data content on the products and services sold by the organization, content management and supporting infrastructure. Led the organization through the deployment of notable industry first to market launches of MyOrderTracker,and lead generation toolsets. Led the strategy of eBusiness, working with key executives and business stakeholders. Participated in numerous customer on-site engagements to identify opportunties to drive costs out of the channel through B2B automation using XML and EDI technologies. Utilized Lean and Six Sigma techniques to drive efficiency gains at customer sites, leveraging the technology investments from Tech Data for business gains and for entanglement.Created an industry community called the Internet Commerce Council, to facilitate feedback and to brainstorm on advanced in eBusiness capabilities that directly saved the channel (resellers and business partners) time and money.Led onshore, nearshore and offshore development groups to achieve results on-time, on-budget and with user satisfaction.

Project Manager and Lead Developer of Tech Data's first eBusiness system, which now is accountable for the majority of the B2B revenue and transactional processing in the Distribution Supply Chain. Key deliverables include EDI systems for enterprise integration with supply chain partners and resellers, Web and XML based systems. Total business revenue from these systems in North America account for 58% of the revenue and 78% of the line item transactions.Led innovation within eBusiness and establishjed a customer affinity team known as the Internet Commerce Council, where customer led design sessions allowed for rapid deployment of functionality which was targeted and highly effective for the reseller community.Led eMerchandising strategies to increase add-on sales, upsell and cross sell opportinitues that resulted in margin grow and vendor sponsored advertisement programs.System engineering for highly fault tolerant systems, scalable and extensible designs allowed Tech Data to be named Best Of Class by CRN Magazine spanning numerous years.

Performed IT functions for Delta's network, airport operations and for ticketing agencies throughout North America including LAN/WAN installations, data center maintenance and satellite office maintenance. Performed maintenance including component level diagnostics, troubleshooting, refabrication and modifications on data communications technology such as modems, routers, IBM servers, gateways, load balancing devices, power supplies, UPS systems and physical security devices.Provided backoffice development functions to automate numerous work teams within the Technology Center through 3GL and 4GL development, leveraging tools including Clipper, C++, Oracle and Teradata.
