I was promoted from my previous role, to the role of deployment manager and now my remit is to manage a team of 5 PMs, I was previously part of. Part of this role is to be the interface with the customer facing project team to receive work tasks to be scheduled across various projects both operator and public sector. Ultimately I’m responsible for work task delivery from receipt of work, to the completion of task and required completion paperwork Including- Providing project Governanceo Charing meeting between customers/clients and the back office.- Delivering KPI progress reports to Senior Stakeholderso Internal and external- Escalation point for Back office, Field Resource and Customerso Troubleshooting to resolve urgent issues.

Following my completion of the PRINCE2 qualification and ongoing success of projects I was promoted to a PM role. I now oversee a team of six across various projects, managing multiple engineering teams. This role included working for customers including VF, 3UK, o2 and Aviat on MW Link Survey and Install, New site builds, power and enablement..

Key roles are acting as primary point of contact for our Customer’s Project Manager and our Internal Project Team for all matters relating to schedules and resources. I continually monitor current, and assess future resource needs for all projects, whilst supporting the internal team to deliver on time and to budget.

My job role consisted of taking calls from a customer base of over 50,000 and then selling them our Central Heating Insurance. My daily processes would involve setting up payment plans, renewing policies and confirming to customers our terms and conditions. After several weeks of this I was then trained as a Claim Handler and Breakdown Advisor, this then allowed me to take calls from customers who were experiencing problems with their boilers. I would then be able to use my technical knowledge to either aid them in fixing the fault over the phone or co-ordinate a boiler engineer to go to the property and carry out essential repairs. I now take care of a Breakdown Helpline email account in which I answer queries from our engineering firm on whether the repair they need to make is covered under the customers policy or not.
