It was a 2 weeks handover of the allocation process in the business. I created SOPs documenting all the processes and train the Allocation Analyst based overseas in the 3rd & 4th week. During this time, I also requested certain process and report enhancements with IT and updated SOPs accordingly. The last month was providing support, and following up on system/process changes.

In a 1 Planner, 1 Merch Analyst and 1 allocator team for the whole business, Merch Analyst key job tasks include Post Season Reviews; Seasonal Range Quantifications; Core lines planning; Consumables planning; Promotional activities and Markdown set ups; Reporting. Achievements include Implemented and executed new Markdown process and reporting enhancements; Improved Core Line forecasting and planning visibility; Improve Post Season Review analysis and information presented; evolved seasonal range quantification methods to support bottom up planning requirements from management.

Roles and responsibilities include allocating right stock to right stores with a 2-3% variance of sales to stock ratio for each region/state; size curve analysis for footwear products; set up plans and order nested luggage products by container load fortnightly managing good relations with supplier and sourcing office. Nested luggage process helps eliminate shipping air and reduces product damage. It is a manually managed process due to limitations of systems set ups.
