He worked closely with criminal justice organizations, the private sector, the MS-ISAC, NASCIO and others to safeguard people, information and government assets.He represented the National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO) on the IT Government Coordinating Council (IT-GCC) led by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Dan also served in the Multi-State Information Sharing Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) and the Michigan InfraGard Executive Board. Dan's leadership in cybersecurity resulted in opportunities to advise the White House, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), federal, state and local governments, numerous private companies, non-profits on best practices.He was a leading government adviser for the Tech America Cloud Commission, and the lead to the National Governors Association (NGA) efforts on cybersecurity.
