Duties: meeting with clients of all levels in all types and size of business from SMEs to corporations with a worldwide presence, selling the benefits of radio advertising, writing up creative briefs, creating (writing, casting, directing and producing) branded radio and audio advertising, sponsorship and promotional campaigns delivered both nationally and locally.Imaging work: complete imaging package for Global's adult rock station The Arrow (also station voice), a number of image promos written, voiced and produced for UK newstalk station LBC.Voiceover duties: hundreds of placeholder (for selling in initial ideas) and commercial (announcer and character) voiceovers.

Design, implementation and daily management of retail and in-flight radio services. Involved senior-level client meetings to discuss formats, development of station sound including music formats, imaging and recruitment of presentation teams, ad copy and programme scriptwriting including a European Top 40 show for FinnAir, which I also hosted. I was headhunted for this role.

Responsibilities: troubleshooting and fixing faults reported by staff at HSBC's Mortgage Service Centre, setting up physical network connections. Daily admin tasks: Lotus Notes email, networking and helpdesk functionality, data backups and call recording (legal compliance). Special projects: Y2K risk management, migration to a paperless office with networked document scanners, design, adoption and implementation of a new document solution for the typing pool using specially-designed Microsoft Word document templates linked to various Microsoft Access databases via code written in Microsoft Visual Basic.

Occasional cover presenter for various shows including weekend breakfast, Saturday sport and afternoons on Hallam FM and Great Yorkshire Radio / Classic Gold.

Production duties: a daily competition, West Yorkshire Rewind local history feature, daily cross-media promo for BBC TV's "Look North" regional news strand.Imaging production: BBC Radio Leeds (station-voiced sweepers, ramps, donuts and beds which received just as much airplay as the station's recently-purchased set of sung jingles from JAM Creative Productions of Dallas). Yorkshire Sport (a huge, comprehensive package of shotguns, ramps, stagers, donuts and beds for the BBC's flagship Saturday afternoon sports show; also voiced by me).Voiceovers: occasional show promos and Yorkshire Sport imaging and promo package.Other duties: finding and filing vinyl records and CDs for presenters ahead of their shows, coordinating bookings and dealing with high-profile politicians, celebrities and national BBC Radio broadcasters contributing to the network via the News and Current Affairs (NCA) studio.
