Chartered Independent Financial Adviser - Director
CurrentAs Chartered Financial Advisers, we are authorised to advise on all regulated retail investment products. (Other firms may be 'restricted' which means they are able to advise on a limited number of retail investment products). Before recommending any product we research the whole of the market in order to find the product that best matches the clients needs. Most of our work is related to Pensions, Investments (and related tax planning), Protection (life assurance, whole of life assurance, critical illness cover, income protection), Estate Planning and Inheritance Tax planning. Our role is to provide impartial independent advice to our clients. We usually (unless we are specifically asked not to) take a holistic approach as all personal financial decisions are interconnected. We have no financial connection or allegiance to any provider of financial services. We are happy to provide one off advice/ transaction services or we can help with on-going financial planning, depending the clients needs. Our fees are based on the complexity and number of hours required to research and advise according to the clients requirements. We give an estimate of the cost of any advice/ transaction and often cap the total charge.I am a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS). I have also achieved additional qualifications to provide advice on Pension Transfers, Mortgages, Equity Release and Long Care insurance. I have also been awarded a Masters in Business Economics (MSc) by Kingston University.Steve Murphy, my colleague at Thurlowe Clarke Ltd is also Chartered.
