• Delivery of £40m of annual Gross Written Premium and achieving target bottom line Underwriting result• Ownership of business plans to deliver growth and retention • Co-ordination of Pricing, Underwriting and of other business areas to deliver business plans• Maintaining strong relationships with strategic partners, including agreeing joint strategies, pricing initiatives and product developments• Ensuring a strong risk and control environment for each partnership• Identifying business development opportunities and winning/retaining business through tender processes

• I was responsible for the recovery of Subrogated Claims debt from other insurers in the market following the outcome of Coles vs Hetherton • This process had collections of c£4m per month, and I delivered a reduction of over £100m of overdue debt.• Management of the Motor Claims BPO Operation. I had responsibility for 93 FTE, 6 direct reports and a direct budget of c£1.4m of staff costs.• Leading the implementation of a Subrogation Portal across RSAI and RSAM operations, which facilitates liability agreement and the recovery of subrogated claims.• I also completed the RSA Accelerate senior leadership Talent programme.

• Accountable for the implementation of a targeting and reporting framework for overdue debt results across the 6 European territories. This involved building relationships and the engagement of leadership across multiple countries. As a result of this work, there has been a reduction in overdue debt from £26m to £11m .

• Management of the offshore finance function that includes processes such as Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Credit control, Allocations, Accounts Payable and Claims Supplier Payments. • The role has responsibility for 112 FTE, 4 direct reports and a direct budget of c£2m of staff costs.• Offshoring of 68 roles to Bangalore (India) from the UK. This involved standardising the processes, and training the offshore staff on location in India. • On return to the UK I was the Process Leader who ensured that the work was executed to the required standard offshore and that the relevant service levels were met.

• In this role I headed up a team of 18 people who looked after the administration of circa 800k motor policy account records, and an overdue debt of £1m. • This team ensured the correct allocation of receipts, issuing of customer refunds and ensuring timely cancellations of defaulted payments.
