My team’s responsibility was for the Alterian Content Manager Smart Client, a Winforms .NET client written in C# .NET, the UI-rich front end for the Alterian Content Manager enterprise CMS. I gained significant experience in handling multi-user, multi-threaded scenarios and working with a messaging based architecture to a cross platform Java enterprise server. Development tasks included writing and maintaining unit tests, WPF UI code, Winforms UI code, business logic and .NET to Java interop. Projects of note include a complete MVC3 implementation of the CMS delivery engine, using custom controller factories, route handlers and the Razor view engine. This included meeting with technical partners to discuss requirements, presentations to senior stakeholders and walk-throughs with technical consultants in the organisation.I was instrumental in the success of the major version 7.0 release of Alterian Content Manager, the largest ever CMS software release in the product's history.
