I am a Spanish-language professional based in Santiago de Chile. I have lived previously in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), San Francisco (USA) and Barcelona (Spain). I work as a freelance translator and project manager on an on-going basis for a select number of translation agencies and final clients. I enjoy establishing long-term professional relationships based on trust and the highest expectation of quality. Currently I´m one of the editors of the Chilean office of the international news agency Pressenza, which aims to pieces focused of social and personal change through non-violence.In 2013 my team and I have managed, translated and edited over 1,000,000 words from English to Spanish, with congratulations from our clients.I have worked for 2 years at the Chilean offices of a major international translation services company as a senior in-house editor and linguistic coordinator for English to Spanish projects. I have extensive experience translating, editing and proofreading texts into Spanish on topics such as IT/networking, GPS devices and related software, software/courseware localization, newspaper articles/columns on social sciences and current affairs (more than 900 pieces so far, published in many newspapers of Spain and Latin America), and corporate training materials for the travel & hospitality industry, among others.I am an active member of the Chilean Association of Translators and Interpreters (COTICH, www.cotich.cl) and the Spanish Association of Translators (ASETRAD)
