My primary professional goal is to apply my knowledge of chemistry to solving practical, meaningful problems. While my education and background is largely in materials synthesis, I am a generalist and believe that I can find a way to contribute in almost any chemistry-related project. As my work experience shows I have had opportunities to prove out that belief.As an engineer at Micron my work has involved the synthesis and characterization of metal-organic precursors for atomic layer deposition. I am currently working on developing self-assembly methods to provide sub-lithographic wafer features.At Chelatec I was involved in the development of an innovative solid-phase extraction media and the application of the material to a rapid (under 5 minute) immunoassay for typhus.At Nano-Tex I worked in the development of various fabric treatment products including a method to make nylon and polyester more breathable as well an odor-absorbing fabric.Specialties: Synthetic experience, working knowledge of a number of analytical techniques, understanding of and experience working with polymers.
