Team lead and key developer in Traceability Server team, responsible for development of a Returnable Container Management tracking system based on EPCIS. Lead developer of advanced SQL and Stored Procedures, Cognos Framework Models, and report definitions.As the Traceability Server Analytics SME, worked with the design team, business analyst, and solution architect to define the next-generation data model for Traceability Server, with particular emphasis on Track and Trace and Business Analytics reporting. Implemented the business information query logic to provide customers with usable business information directly from the Traceability Server operational query engine.

Worked in the DB2 Replication team. Researched, designed, and developed a log-reader-based Changed Data Capture product for Oracle databases to be used as a native Oracle capture engine incorporated into the IBM DB2 Replication engine. Filed and received a U.S. Patent for the technology developed.

Authored several database products:• An Oracle Changed Data Capture product that provided source data for Datastage ETL jobsDeveloped an Oracle Changed Data Capture product on AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, and Windows NT using embedded SQL (Pro*C), PL/SQL stored procedures, and Oracle Advanced Replication. Application extracted changed data from Oracle’s replication queue and made it available for loading into remote data marts. Lead development, drove enhancements and design recommendations, and functioned as SME for product technical support. Recognized as Key Contributor to the company Director of Development.• A Java program that generated Cobol source programs for performing ETL on a mainframeWrote modules on a C++ development project to extract and transform data from DB2 database on MVS. This product was called Prism Warehouse Executive, later known as DataStage XE. Originally, product generated Java output and I modified the application adding new C++ objects to generate COBOL source that would be used to extract DB2 data on the mainframe.• A SQL Server Changed Data Capture product that provided source data for Datastage ETL jobsResearched, designed, and developed a log-reader-based Changed Data Capture product for MS SQL Server. The application served as a module to be interfaced with Ascential’s Datastage product. Developed as a Unicode application that interfaces with SQL Server via ODBC. This application extracts changed data from the SQL Server 2000 transaction log and makes it available for loading into remote data marts. Active in product GTM, including presales, product enablement, sales collateral, critical situation support, and customer engagement.

Designed and wrote relational database applications as a member of the Software Engineering Tools & Services group. Used C on Unix with embedded SQL on an Informix database. Also responsible for all development/administration of the Problem Tracking System; developed a web-based reporting interface allowing users to specify report content, sorting criteria, etc.

Developed and designed enhancements for Odyssee, a Rapid Application Development (RAD) tool for developing code-free Client/Server database applications. Designed and developed portability platform for DOS and UNIX. Worked with Novell NetWare under DOS and SCO UNIX; programming in C. Also managed development team working on product containing over 200,000 lines of source.

Worked with the National Language Support department and the National Language Product Test Group. Created automated test suites for OS/2 2.0 Extended Services and LAN Services translation using an Automated Test Equipment (ATE) tool called Solutions Evaluation Tool (SET). Also Designed and developed on-line tutorials used for training of product functionality and usage.

Worked in HARM missile division in the Acceptance Test Software Group. Redesigned and developed entire test data collection system for missile development project.
