Developed and maintained the client/server software for a virtual 3D tradeshow platform. Designed and wrote the 3D server product capable of supporting 1,000 simultaneous users at the time when 90 users was the best competitors had achieved. Created 3D models and animations for exhibit booths in the shows. Designed and implemented all security aspects from corporate firewalls and proxy servers to cracker prevention/detection embedded in company developed applications. Developed the company’s Web and server applications for managing both the sales and build processes primarily using C, PHP, PostgreSQL and MySQL on multiple Linux servers. Developed and administered the numerous databases interfaced to the 3D and Web applications.Provided training and support to end users as well as engineering support to the company’s sales people. Also, worked on various software and web site projects for many of the company’s clients including Clipper Wind Power, PBC International, Magenta Media LLC, New Sports Media Network, GatorHawk Armor, Royalty Staffing, Incremotion Associates, and Welcomm, Inc.

Developed numerous client/server applications including the magazine circulation fulfillment system and contact management systems. Began the company’s migration to Web based publishing in 1995 and developed the firm’s web sites. Developed many interactive features such as an online buyers guide, industry specific search engine, and subscriber access to the magazine databases. Selected and managed the implementation of many IT systems and technologies. Setup and maintained the corporate firewalls and the various network, database and email servers. Added new duties when promoted to General Manager in 1998 and lead the company through the process of being sold twice in 2 years to successively larger publishing firms. Managed the editorial and production staff of 20+ people. Lead the migration and/or interfacing of the local IT resources with the various corporate systems. Took responsibility for the budget and sales of the Ventura division and then increased the division’s revenues by 37% and profitability by 9% over the next two years.

Implemented new features for the hotel front desk database application running at over 50 sites and thousands of users. Completely redesigned and rewrote several back office systems including Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Budgeting applications.Served as adviser to the technical support department. Lead all interface projects between dissimilar machines such as interfacing telephone systems and cash registers to the hotel’s guest database. Member of the new product release team to deploy new releases and polish installation documentation while on site.
