Upon separating from the Navy after 5 years as hospital corpsman, my career path transitionedfrom medicine to technology as my role in a prominent orthopedic office went from patient careto IT in a matter of months. Two years later, I was teaching novice loan officers how to usetechnology to make mortgages. Two years after that I co-founded a software company thatprovided regulatory compliance tools to mortgage lenders. Though I sold that company in 2021, I remain actively engaged in its operations.
