In my current position at William Hill my role includes remote support and maintenance of tills, Albos Units / Promote systems (Video Displays) and Self Service betting machines. Day to day operations include supporting other members of staff at William Hill shops with equipment allowing smooth operations and minimizing any downtime that might cause loss of profits and loss of custom to other competitors. This can include liaising with 3rd party companies such as BT, Scientific Gaming, Openbet and other small communication companies around the UK and Jersey.

My previous role at EMIS which I held for 8 years gave me a range of experience and knowledge in windows server applications such as group policy, Active directory, Exchange including recently office365 exchange and migration to this using Powershell scripts to speed up processes and allowing me to complete tasks faster than using normal GUI inputs. Because I have worked closely with servers the data on these will need to have a backup, I have mostly worked with Symantec Backup exec and making sure that all data needed is on the Tapes / RDX Drives and data is verified and if any virtual servers are running on the host box ensuring these have correctly backed up to device and to send reports and alerts if this has not completed.Also have experience with 1st line support giving me good and polite phone skills with end users allowing me to gather information in regards to their issue even if the incident cannot be corrected imminently but causing no delay because of lack of information in initial log making the service desk look unprofessional. I have also had experience in Internal users and remote / field based users via VPN with their faults and setups such as office and outlook setups license distribution and other user based core application that allow users to work depending on their role in the business allowing me to devote resources to getting that user back up and running allowing them to continue their work for the business needs.It was my responsibility to make sure that areas of the business get the help and support they need to work, this may be direct involvement or working in the background ensuring servers and the services they provide are fully operational.
