Since qualifying as an OT in 1999 I have worked in both health & social care across the Fylde coast as well as Lancaster & Morecambe Bay. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with adults & children with various physical and learning disabilities, acute; chronic illness or neurological degenerative conditions. I specialise in housing, recommending adaptations, specialised equipment provision, assessments for housing needs and risk assessments. I strive to build positive working relationships in both health and housing services, to ensure the removal of physical barriers within peoples homes; adapting or modifying environments; promoting safe and independent living. I’m passionate about my profession as it allows people the chance to enhance their lives and engage again in meaningful activity. I’m a motivated and creative thinker; problem solving is a requisite in this job.
