My role as the Director of Events involves more than just the planning and execution of the event, but also brand building, marketing, sponsorship and communication strategy.As a creative expert, the technical and logistical elements are key skills to ensure an event is a success. This includes event design, audio-visual production, budgeting, and negotiation and most importantly, client service. An integral part of this job is sourcing sponsors for the events, whilst building strong relations with their key clients.I have devised, directed and sourced sponsorship for numerous successful events such as The 888poker Shane Warne Golf Classic, The Cornelia Diamond Darren Clarke Turkish Knockout, Kerry London Team Europe Legends Event with Sam Torrance and Darren Clarke, Battle on the Hill, Celtic Clash and Cleveland Srixons Golf Rocks.Sponsors I sourced and managed include Barclays Wealth, 888.com, Kerry Insurance, Dimension Data, LG, Gaucho, Celtic Manor, Cleveland Srixon, AIB Bank, B Win and Stella Artois.Alongside the event management, a large part of my role is also people management. After working as a player manager for nearly 6 years, I was asked to run a televised professional golf tour, called the PGA Euro-pro Tour. This entailed managing a large team to include PGA staff, camera crew, operations staff and TV production staff. My target was to improve the tours financial situation which I did year on year. My ability to sell sponsorship and build long term meaningful client relationships was a key skill in doing so. I also improved the quality of the production and venues the tour visited. Such venues included Fairmont St Andrews, and Europes No 1 and most exclusive course Les Bordes, who staged the Tour Championship. Roles and Responsibilities: • To source and manage sponsors for events and main title sponsorship of the Tour• Manage the events team and ensure all events ran seamlessly• In charge of Profit and Loss for the 17 annual events and the tour itself• Working alongside SKY to improve the quality of production• Pitch to prospective sponsors and venues• Source venues to stage events• Manage contracts with sponsors and venues• Involvement in editing production• Devising, reviewing and renewing contracts

I was in sole charge of managing over 15 European and US PGA Tour Players, finding and dealing with their sponsorships, scheduling, travel, contracts, finances and generally making sure all they needed to do was play golf at the highest level. Another responsibility was to Manage a team and delegate responsibilities to ensure every clients need was seen to. Roles and Responsibilities: • Responsible for sourcing sponsorship for each player• Helping the players build sponsorship relationships• Negotiating annual contracts with high profile manufacturers and Blue Chip companies• Managing the players schedules and travel• Career advice for younger professionals• Travelling the world working on global events such as US Masters to the Australian Open. In total attending in the region of 100 Tournaments on the European and US PGA tours• Employment of the players caddies, psychologists and coaches
