Intelligence Analyst
From 2010 through 2011, I filled the role of liaison and intelligence officer between the NAVCENT Arabian Gulf watch-floor/Naval intelligence office and an Air Defense Artillery (Patriot Missile Unit) in Bahrain; a position which I created. From 2011 through 2012, I held the same position with the 32nd AAMDC in Qatar. I tracked and reported all Iranian missile activity in the Persian Gulf as well as the Iranian political and military environment daily on a Top Secret level. My job required the daily production of well- researched written products which were disseminated throughout the United States Army's Missile Defense Community. In order to accomplish this, I was required to build and maintain working relationships with a multitude of individuals from various agencies including CIA, NGA, MISC, NASIC, ONI, NCIS and DIA. This frequently involved coordinating the exchange of intelligence and arranging high-level meetings between senior military leaders and civilian intelligence agencies. Although the majority of my work revolved around Iran and Iranian political and military issues, I have a solid background in the Arab/Israeli conflict and Israeli defense issues as well. When needed, I have supervised both the Battalion and Brigade level Army Intelligence Office. This position required leading a small group of employees in the process of monitoring security clearances and security clearance issues for soldiers. In addition, our office was responsible for all training on the proper handling of classified material and operational security procedures.

Intelligence Liaison
I filled the role of liaison and intelligence officer between the U.S. 5th Fleet’s Naval Central Command Arabian Gulf Watch-floor/Naval Intelligence Office and Patriot missile unites in Bahrain. In exchange for a desk in the Iran cell of the watch-floor, I provided intelligence analysis training to incoming young navy analysts. I tracked and reported Iranian missile activity in the Persian Gulf as well as the Iranian political and military environment on a TS/SCI level. My duties involved media exploitation and significant amounts of OSINT analysis of multitudes of English version and translated Arab, Persian and Israeli news outlets.I was required to build and maintain working relationships with a multitude of individuals from various agencies including the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, Missile and Space Intelligence Center, National Air and Space Intelligence Center and the Defense Intelligence Agency. This involved coordinating the exchange of intelligence and arranging high-level meetings between senior military leaders and civilian intelligence agencies.I worked closely with NCIS’s SAVE Cell (Struggle Against Violence & Extremism) analyzing threat information and patterns to provide warnings aimed at preventing terrorist attacks against missile sites with an additional focus on foreign intelligence services (primarily Iranian MOIS and Bahrain’s significant population of local Shiite supporters of Iran) activities, SIGINT and HUMINIT collection and surveillance efforts targeting Patriot missile sites in Bahrain. I collaborated with NCIS to develop threat assessments, vulnerability assessments and countermeasure implementation, which I then provided to both battalion and brigade. I was presented the coin of excellence from Brigadier General Daniel Karbler, Commander of the 31st Air Defense Brigade as well as a coin from General Mike Hostage, Commander, United States Air Forces Central, Southwest Asia.
Intelligence Officer-Middle East Southwest Asia
My duties as a Middle East Intelligence Analyst included the monitoring of political activity and raw intelligence traffic which could conceivably impact U.S. defense policy. The resulting assessments were published as Defense Information Response Memorandums which were disseminated to The Office of the Secretary of Defense. Although the use of sensitive information makes these publications “classified”, publishing may be verified through DIA.
