The duties of a Community Engagement Facilitator are rooted in outreach and involving community members in critical development processes. Through Dannie's time in this position, she has devised recruitment plans for new and existing community based youth organizations. To promote sustainability, she helped maintain and monitor the functions of the Hilltop Area (Pittsburgh) Neighborhoods community based organizations. In this position, she has also been a consistent presence in neighborhood community meetings where she worked diligently to improve access to resources and opportunities within communities. To promote safe and opportunity rich neighborhoods, she currently assists with neighborhood-focused research to inform preemptive planning strategies for neighborhood development.

As a Public Ally, Dannie designed, planned, and implemented a Team Service Project to benefit a nonprofit and the wider community. They participated in National Days of Service throughout the service term while planning, coordinating, and participating in weekly leadership and professional training workshops to support personal development. To measure growth in this opportunity, they engaged in ongoing evaluation and reflection through monthly service reports, bi-weekly time logs, and a structured feedback process. From this experience, they gained focus in their work around equitable community development and the importance of transforming communities based on the lived experiences of those who inhabit them.

Community Outreach Group LLC is part of Planned Parenthood, but a separate organization that is available to act as a vendor of large-scale advocacy and electoral programs for affiliates, local c4 organizations, and Planned Parenthood.As a Deputy Canvass Manager, they advocated for various national issues, such as health care, and sexual and reproductive rights in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. They had the opportunity to manage operations at multiple campaign staging locations and recruited, trained, and supervised 80+ volunteers in voter registration, canvassing, and phone banking.
